Drone services follow a separate cancellation policy from our standard 24-hour notice policy, as they can be impacted by weather and FAA regulations.
Reasons we may be unable to complete aerial services:
1. Rain or high winds: Flying a drone in the rain or wind not only risks permanent damage to the drone, but it can also be a safety hazard. Rain can cause propeller drag and motor issues, resulting in sluggish, unsafe flight
2. FAA regulations: The FAA restricts drone flights in certain locations, most commonly near airports and in areas with temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) due to events. We do our best to check airspace restrictions ahead of time, but in some cases our photographer may arrive on-site and find that the drone cannot fly. This is not always predictable — TFRs in particular can be issued with little notice.
If our photographer arrives and determines they cannot fly, we will reschedule your aerial shoot at no cost. Please give us as much notice as possible if you anticipate conditions will be a problem.
