Requesting a Specific Visual Artist

Yes — you can request a specific photographer or drafter for your appointment. 

At Open Homes, we pride ourselves on having an amazing team of talented and professional photographers. 

While we understand that some of our partners may have their preferences, we work very closely with our visual artists, and there are no weak links on our team! However, if you've found your favorite visual artist, you can absolutely request them for future appointments.

1. On the order form, add your request in the Special Requests section.
2. We'll do our best to accommodate your request based on that visual artist's availability.

We recommend booking your appointment a week or more in advance to increase the likelihood that your photographer of choice is available.

Please note that scheduling options may be limited if you are only willing to work with one photographer, and rescheduling the original appointment may hinder our ability to assign your preferred photographer.

Adding a Preferred Visual Artist

You can also save a visual artist to your Preferred Visual Artists list for future orders.

• While you can view your list of Preferred Visual Artists in your dashboard, you can only add artists once you've completed 5 or more orders in our system.
• If you haven't reached that threshold yet, you can still request a preferred visual artist by noting it in the Special Requests section of the order form, and a member of our team will add them to your list on your behalf.

If you have 5 or more orders, you can add a preferred artist from the Order Form. Once you've reached the "Schedule" page of the order form, you'll have the option to add a requested artist on the bottom of the page.

Excluding a Visual Artist

If a particular visual artist isn't the right fit for you, we can exclude them from future appointments.

• This can't currently be added directly through your dashboard.
• To request an exclusion, either:
  1. Note it in the Special Requests section of your order form, or
  2. Contact us by email, call, or text.

How do I request a specific photographer for my next shoot? 

Add your request in the Additional Requests section of your order form. We'll accommodate it based on availability.

Do I need a certain number of orders to request a preferred visual artist? 

No — anyone can request one. The self-service "Preferred Visual Artists" list in your dashboard becomes available once you've completed 5 or more orders, but our team can add a preferred artist on your behalf before then.

Can I guarantee the same visual artist every time? 

We'll do our best to accommodate based on their availability, but it's not guaranteed for every appointment.

How do I make sure a specific visual artist isn't scheduled for my shoots? 

Note it in the Additional Requests section, or reach out by email, call, or text, and we'll add them to your Excluded list.

Can I exclude a visual artist directly from my dashboard? 

Not at this time — exclusions need to go through Additional Requests or by contacting our team directly.
