When adding still images makes sense
If needed, we can incorporate still images into your video, but it’s generally best to do so sparingly. Video tours are designed to feel fluid, immersive, and cinematic, and inserting still photos can disrupt that visual rhythm. Differences in lighting, color, resolution, or perspective between photos and video footage can make the final piece feel less cohesive and less refined.
Requesting additional video footage first
In many cases, if it feels like a shot is missing, additional video footage may already exist. We encourage you to reach out first, as our editors may be able to add an alternate clip that better preserve the continuity of the video.
Pricing and how to request
If the footage doesn’t exist or doesn’t meet your needs, we’re happy to accommodate still images upon request. Up to five still photos can be added at no additional cost. Requests for more than five images are considered a Video Slideshow Add-On, which is available for an additional $100.
Please email support@openhomesphotography.com with the image file names and the timestamps indicating where each image should appear (for example: “Please add image p2k.042 at 0:43”). Clear, specific instructions help us complete your edit accurately and as quickly as possible!
